Come Enjoy This Lonely Sky With Me

After Trip Thoughts..

I think i've learnt a lot from my thailand trip...
things that are not taught on paper...
nor through the lessons...

but simply just through interactions and conversations..
and daily day-to-day routines...

It's really interesting how the thais are so easily satisfied with things..
and are happy about it..
and makes me reflected that hey...maybe i should be this way too..
food doesnt have to be expensive to be nice...
likewise a place need not be a high class shopping centre to be enjoyable..
wat really matters is the company..
whether the company is fun...
and whether u appreciate one another...

1simple reason why i enjoyed thailand so much ..
was that i felt so appreciated for everything there..
simple things warmed the heart..
and they did that...they really did..

I didnt have shopping centres to go to like Central@Chitlom or Siam Paragon or even MBK.. at nakon pathom..
nor did i have expensive food like Food Loft or Baiyoke Sky Buffet..
roadside stalls and Lotus/Tesco Hypermart was my daily routine..
but i enjoyed it more than anything...

What's the most important thing was that people bothered to notice of me...
to the single most little details...

Remember christmas gift exchanging and i said i received a really personalised gift?
i really never received any present as much sincerity and attention like this before..never ever..
and they weren't even gifts worth $10..
What was inside?
1)Salted eggs with smileys drawn and kept in a wired basket(which i couldnt bring back for fear of customs check)
Reason- I mentioned once before during lunch/dinner that i loved salted eggs..and was remembered..
2)A t-shirt with the full Thai name of Bangkok printed on it
Reason-Cos there was once when i asked the full name and i tried to remember the full name but i couldn't cos it was so so so long...and she bought that so that i would be able to remember and refer to whenever i need to..
3)A mug with a pig handle
Reason-I was actually looking at the mug to think whether i wanna buy it for a fren...but she tot i wanted it for myself and tot i liked it..
and went to buy it straight after i decided not to buy it..which was really sweet..cos it meant all the while following me she was finding things tat i took notice to..
4)7small handwritten letters
Reason-personalised letters to explain the meanings of the gifts..(who bothers nowadays..)

Not only for christmas exchange..
but for my leaving souvenir..i got this elephant keychain..cos i always sang the thai "elephant" song..
It's just simple things like these that touched my heart...
and made me cry my heart out when i had to call and say my last goodbyes at the airport before boarding the plane..
i miss them..and the life there..

well...so this year..gonna live simple...
cut down on spendings..
cut down on extravagant stuffs like restaurants..
no taxis for me...public transport!
unless die die late at nite...no more public transport..
finding cheap food hunts..
and appreciating people who appreciates me..
people who bother..
Try not to hold too much expectations on things..
enjoy the process of everything...
& holding off desires...
hopefully i'll be as happy as the days in thailand..
and hopefully there's someone there to share the joy too..
that would be the icing on the cake..
