Saturday FEver..
Wooo! i must say the last time i played a competitive softball match was in JC lar...ok..not considering IHG softball matches...cos its slowpitch... Fastpitch softball is wat im talking abt..yea..and yupz...i'm proud to say i've made it onto the line-up sheets today against RJC.. Well, NUS played a friendly with RJC at RI on their newly created diamond field..u would be impressed trust me..they have this newly plotted field...and read this...with plastic grass..yes..and they have this gravel clay-like thing laid for the softball diamond..argh should have taken a photo of it...quite hard to visualise...shit...sorry...was in a hurry to work so didnt take..
Anyway, jus wanna say i played today! I mean..i noe im not that good..yet...n considering today everyone wearing Nus softball jersey except me...and i still manage to play...im actually quite proud of myself...cos i think i did play well n impressed them...My fielding today was good as a 1st-baser..there was a few times they complimented me for good catching..haha..but of cos i did have my blunders lar...i was switched to 3rd base after 3rd inning..and boi..i haven played that position before..so can imagine how scared i was...there was this once, the ball came straight to me on my left and it was so fast my glove just had enough reaction time to touch and deflected it..argh..missed my chance to impress..if only i caught it..cos it was really a damn fast line drive..
Batting was horrible today...had a walk for my first batting and subsequently, 2 strike outs in a row after they changed the pitchers..well..i wouldn't use the change as an excuse lar..cos its really stupid lar...i went for a few Balls that aren't even close to Strikes man..argh..im losing my eyeing...!!batting needs improving..fielding needs to be faster and sharper..and yar..im glad i didnt do too badly today... =) cheers! i didnt miss/drop balls at 1st base woohoo!!
