hmm 0kie,jus went for Pauli and Candy's wedding dinner last nite...had to represent my father....ok so who's Pauli ? HE's not a girl....in fact a damn handsome guy...yar CCCComplicated relationship over here...with big capital C...
Here's how it works: Paulihno's father's mother is my father's god-ma...that makes my father and his father god-brothers lar...yar that's the r/s.So Pauli's sorta my god-cousin.
Ok as it goes I had to rep my father to go...my brother's supposed to go with me one but he forgot abt it and last min had meeting to attend....WTH...Cos he knows my godma side like at the back of his hands....so if i attend alone i'll be like dunno most pple..dunno how to intro myself(yar hi im BLAH BLAH son who's BLAH BLAH of PAul BLAH blah..) cos of the complicated relationship haha...unlike my brother who jus have to hi here and there and he like knows the whole world(exaggerated). Anyway he finally said he would attend but for the cocktail reception only...which was 1/2hr. Supposed to meet at Raffles city shopping centre but i was early so wanted to get some stuff to bite..saw Paul and Natalie instead...they were getting Subway for themselves cos they're ushers and they said they dun think they could eat the dinner..So we went up to the ballroom together..The reception area was filled with unfamiliar faces and a few red berets here and there....the most prominent being the Groom,Pauli. Way cool man...SOF officer...the sword and red beret and all the proficiency badges and i think there's like all 3 of it....and his sword bearers all practising for the ceremony later... I was trying hard to find pple i noe...but jus a few aunts and uncles that i see during CNY at God-grandma's place.. anyway met up with my brother shortly after.
Worked Miracles man after i met him ahah.....he intro-ed me here and there...then people who i weren't really familiar but seen before said hi and *poof* here we have...Aeron the PR..getting to noe pple...thru my brother. Then after that i saw John Paul...yar John Paul Chen...ASPC course commander.He was with his girlfren and sister...well Uncle Eddie's his god-pa ahah..yar another complicated relationship...we met b4 at CNY when he came with his mum anyway...so i wasnt really surprised..but hey i was glad...that i knew someone there haha..So i was jus chatting around with JP, Natalie and Paul the whole reception time...Aunty Lina was stressed up ahah...cos she's the one arranging the seating plan...and she didnt noe where to put me with and i was sorta like on holding list....At first she wanted to put me with Pauli's Mates...that is : read: ARMY FRENz... i went frenzy lor...haha....no way....their like gonna psycho me lor...JOIN THE ARMY!! haha....So i suggested to Aunt Lina to put me at JP's table...she looked like she was going mad haha...cos there was so many pple talking to her...Luckily she didnt...hehe....
Anyway the Wedding started late...AS USUAL.....sommore its a weekday wedding...argh...took away my off eh! SO they had the band thingy and UNcle Louis sang a song before the ceremony started...heard from the pple from my table that Uncle Louis and his band were famous in KL in the 80's...the SOLIANOs..hmm...wow...cool....anyway the band was rendering really lovely music the whole nite....jazz and rock...Ken would love it if he was there...ahha...And so the Sword bearers came in and the much awaited Pauli and Candy came in....cool...first time i attended an Officer's wedding...The whole wedding was damn long...the food came really slow.....JP and i concluded it was done on purpose so that it is more worthwhile for the relatives from the Soliano's side. Well...they have frenz and relatives that came from UK,KL and indonesia...and so the last dish finally came at 11.15pm...ahhh...finally...and yar i have to catch a cab....plus midnite...=(
Went to said bye to Kai-Por(god grandma)..she looked cute haha...with a wig specially for the wedding..then to Natalie(who gave me a peck on the cheek *SHY haha) then Paul and Edmund. Almost forgot aunty lina but went back to find her and she didnt wanna let me go...she said they were gonna party later....and Paul said it was at Velvet...and i dun CLub....Paul said Kim's the planner for partying later haha...yar HAvoc Mum...and so i pleaded with Aunty Lina to let me go haha...she was so unwilling...damn nice lady....haha...but well i dun club...and i have ARMY.. and there i left...bidding farewell to Pauli and Candy...and i was quite surprised Pauli knew who i was..haha..didnt expect tat coming....
Conclusion:this wedding dinner was really taxing.....even on the people going...they have to wear nice nice....(yar i had to)...then have to speak good ENglish cos the Soliano's are Eurasians so they speak really good english....and have to watch table manners....arhg...taxing... Actually almost all wedding dinners are like this....I need to attend Social Etiquette lessons le.... I could fit in last nite...but barely....perhaps more practise??? neh..........spare me DAD....... =)
